Kathy Focht is a native of Reading, PA.  She is mother to 3 daughters and enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 6 grandchildren.  Kathy is a graduate of Penn State University earning a degree in Accounting.  Her accounting career spans 11 years working with various companies.  While Kathy enjoyed these accounting experiences, she felt a calling to make a difference in the lives of others, which led to a career as an educator. 

Kathy completed her teaching certifications at Alvernia University and has been a business educator at Wilson High School for over 20 years.  Her classes include accounting, financial planning and the School to Work Program (A program enabling students to learn though a work experience while earning school credits.). She truly enjoys working with emerging adults providing a foundation for their financial future.

Kathy’s experience has led her to become a Financial Coach.  As a Financial Coach she is able to blend her financial knowledge, life experiences, teaching and desire to help others into providing financial education to adults.  What truly solidified this choice was her partnering with Ryan Daniels and RFinances. His belief that “if people know better, they will do better” matches her philosophy.  This is what inspired her to start this next stage in her journey.
